Paul Lomberg’s practice focuses on family law and related family-type matters. Mr. Lomberg’s legal representation of clients in divorce proceedings addresses multiple issues, including alimony, child support, custody and parenting time issues, equitable distribution of marital assets, business valuations, and retirement benefits. Mr. Lomberg further provides legal representation to parties in domestic violence matters, prenuptial agreements and child welfare matters filed by the Division of Child Protection and Permanency. Mr. Lomberg represents clients in post-judgment litigation based on changed circumstances that may modify the parties’ Final Judgment of Divorce, the terms of their Marital Settlement Agreement, or Court Order.
Mr. Lomberg recognizes that the needs of each client and interests regarding their family law issues require an independent analysis to reach a resolution that helps each client achieve a realistic and practical solution. Mr. Lomberg understands that educating a client about the legal issues specific to their case is necessary for the client to make informed, intelligent decisions that will impact their future.
Mr. Lomberg is Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Matrimonial Law Attorney, a distinction that he has held since May 2000, and a certification achieved by only 2% of attorneys in New Jersey. The New Jersey Supreme Court grants this distinction to attorneys in New Jersey who have substantial experience, education, and family law skills. Mr. Lomberg’s career in family law commenced with a judicial clerkship in family law in Morris County. In providing legal representation to clients in family law matters, Mr. Lomberg is a Bergen County Matrimonial Early Settlement Panel member, a Court Qualified Family Law Mediator, and a Collaborate Divorce Attorney. Mr. Lomberg is included on the New Jersey’s list of Super Lawyers and in Bergen County 201 Magazine. Mr. Lomberg received his undergraduate degree from New York University with a double major in economics and finance and his Law Degree from the University of Miami.
Mr. Lomberg provides volunteer services in the family law field, Kosher Meals on Wheels, and other volunteer services to the elderly. Mr. Lomberg has participated in multiple triathlons and marathons, including the NYC, Boston, and the Disney World Marathons.
